The semester ones of BlueCrest School of Fashion and Design came through with a bang and we weren’t even ready. These students have proven that they are ready for every task and assignment. And this assignment, they understood very well!
Their lecturer for the course, Madam Matilda Tawiah, affectionately called Miss Tilly/Tillie took the students through the process of smocking. A term used to gather part of a fabric to create fullness and creases in order to create a special and specific pattern or design. The students were tasked to turn their fabrics into everyday usable things. And wow… They really impressed both themselves and their lecturer. Enjoy some of their works.
