The Department of Mass Communication and Journalism at BlueCrest University College will be hosting one of Ghana’s fast-rising broadcast journalists, Ayisha Yakubu-Halid at a media forum.
The event, under the theme, Expectations of the 21st Century Broadcast Journalist, aims at highlighting professional skills needed in a dynamic media landscape in order to impact society with beat stories, influence policies, and demand accountability through responsible journalism.
The media forum is one of the Department’s flagship programmes held every semester that brings together seasoned communication and media professionals to engage students in dialogues with the aim of enhancing students’ knowledge of new trends in the media industry and at the same time building their capacity to be industry ready.
Other speakers at the event will include Mr. Philip Acquaye, Head of the Mass Communication and Journalism Department, and Mr. Kumi, Communication Lecturer at BlueCrest University College.
The event comes off on Wednesday, October 26, 2022, at 11 a.m at the BlueCrest University College Auditorium in Accra.
