In practice, digital marketing typically refers to marketing campaigns that appear on a computer, phone, tablet, or other device. It can take many forms, including online video, display adverts, search engine marketing, paid social ads and social media posts. Digital marketing is often compared to “traditional marketing” such as magazine ads, billboards, and direct mails. Oddly, television is usually lumped in with traditional marketing.
The guest speaker, Mr Eli, from Pulse Ghana delved into what digital marketing and what the essence of it. Questions were received by him and he answered each and every of them, making both student and faculty understand the importance of digital marketing and how to properly do it as well. He made the audience aware of how the world is gradually evolving into a digital space and phase and why one must get on board in order to have a successful business both online and offline.
