Ever run out of your favorite body splash or perfume? Yes, we know exactly how that feeling can be!Whew! Luckily, with the help of Madam Deladem Ephraim – Etsey, lecturer for Perfume making, has saved the day. She took some students of School of Fashion and Design through the process of perfume, body splashes and body butter making.
The students were taken through the various ingredients such as oils, water and alcohol that goes into the making of these perfumes. She explained some health and therapeutic benefits of certain oils and aromas. The composition and the right blending of carrier oils. And made a vivid point by saying that eco-friendly and organic made perfumes are the best types of perfumes because they are not toxic. She also reminded students to be hygienic and take care of their bodies by using more natural products, such as lime and apple cider vinegar than chemically processed products.
” Don’t smear acid on acid, treat body stench before you use perfumes. Smell good naturally before you add an extra dose of that sweet tangy aroma”- Miss Dee said. Students had a hands on experience with blending of various oils and created and named their own perfumes such monchoulie and Ranchwood. They smelt awesomely divine!
