The 5th edition of Ghana Menswear Week was held on the weekend of September 10 and 11, 2021 in Accra. The show premiered virtually on GhOne TV Ghana (DSTV Channel 361, GOTV Channel 179) across Africa and on Facebook live via Fashion Gh TV, Woodin Ghana, Ghana Menswear week and Mr. Model Africa platforms.
Dubbed #VirtualShowcase, the lineup of creative designers leading the runway included Bushai Weave collection, Eccentric Clothing, Blue Crest School of Fashion design, In Tema We Trust, Kojo Boadi, Saint Mensah by Nana, Woodin Ready To Wear collection, TECNO runway show as well two (2) finalists (Elikem and Benedicta) for ‘The Style Man Project’ 2021 next generation of menswear designers competition.
A virtual “Fashion Dialogue” was held on day one (1), Friday September 10, 2021 under the theme “The impact of COVID-19 on Ghanaian fashion businesses and the way forward” moderated by Fashion PR Specialist Faith Senam.
The panelists included the Creative Director of Abrantie The Gentleman, Oheneba Yaw Boamah, Fashion Photographer Quincy Koranteng of Vine Imagery, Nana Yaw Amoako, Mr. Model Africa 2021 and Woodin Ghana RTW Product Manager, Mrs. Delali Bentsi- Enchil.
