As part of final year preparation for their Fashion show, hopefully to take place this year, semester 8 students of SFD are well on their way to making their collections spectacular.
In preparation for their own progress after school, students are taken through portfolio preparation and presentation through draping. This technique learnt in semester 8 is to equip students with the skills of showcasing their garments on mannequins without sewing.
The use of pins help in creating designs on these mannequins. This technique is important because students can experiment different designs, take pictures and add them to their portfolios without necessarily sewing.
