Miss Hilda Ngozi is a semester 7 student with the School of Fashion and Design, BlueCrest College. As part of her birthday celebrations, Miss Ngozi decided to extend a hand of kindness to the children of the Teshie Children’s home on the 17th of January this year through her foundation; The Helemzi Foundation.
During an interview with her, she was asked why she decided to take this initiative? According to Miss Ngozi, she was inspired to help the homeless which has always been heart breaking any time she leaves the house and see people lie and sleep in an open area. She says the first question she asks herself is what if it rains were will they sleep? In the morning were do they go? Were do they bath ? And how do they afford to eat ? Amongst other questions.
That was when she said to herself one day in future she will build a luxurious home for them and that must look extravagant than her own house and will cater for these kids too.
Miss Ngozi is determined to continue saving some money and help as much as she can. The team at SFD are proud of her and the work she has started doing for these children.
