On the 11th of January 2021, the School of Fashion and Design organized an orientation for first semester students joining the department.
The orientation started around 10:30am with ten students in attendance. The purpose of the orientation was to welcome students to SFD and introduce them to lecturers and the courses the department offers.
The Program chair for certificate courses welcomed the students on behalf of all faculty members and gave a brief advice to them to do their best and complete their chosen degree and diploma.
When the turn of the Head of Department came, she advised students to follow their time table which has been posted on the notice board, come to class on time, finish all assignments and projects. She also mentioned the use of the Moodle platform and its relevance to their stay of campus.
She highlighted the degree, diploma and certificate courses and what it entails. She also thanked them for choosing BlueCrest College and urged them to work together with their lecturers to benefit fully what the school has to offer.
The orientation was completed with a tour around SFD facilities and a brief meeting with the Dean of Academic Affairs.
